Year 2 assessment week

For our independent writing piece the children have created their own narrative paragraph to describe a snowy setting. The children loved building this up through the week and have some great paragraphs that we can really celebrate. The children enjoyed working in groups to gather lots of ideas of the things they might see and hear in a snowy setting and came up with adjectives to describe these things. The children also watched video clips from snowy settings and learned how to take their own notes to gather further ideas to use in their own writing. The children took an imaginary walk through a woodland forest and used this to plan the journey their character would take. Finally, the children were able to put this together into a wonderful, descriptive paragraph and were proud to share these. Well Done Team Two!
