Stories for the story slam inter-schools competition

Prior to last week, we had planned and written up to three paragraphs of how the two central characters had escaped from a World War Two air raid and climbed into a tunnel that took them to a new situation. This week, we planned and wrote where the characters ended up and what happened next. Today, we listened to each story that children had written then ten lucky writers were chosen to represent Bank End in the competition. Five writers were then selected with one of them the overall champion who will be entered into the regional finals in the new year. Everybody tried brilliantly with their writing and I am so proud of everyone in the class!
