Maths learning

This half term in maths we have focused our learning on Multiplication and Division. We have been using equipment to learn about equal groups, make equal groups and even add equal groups together. We have looked at grouping, sharing and arrays to help solve a range of multiplication and division problems. In English, we have focused on narrative and practised a range of skills before applying to our writing, these include expanded noun phrases, prepositional phrases, use of past tense and using coordinating conjunctions to create compound sentences. On Wednesday 5th we took part in a very special lesson called 'Be Bright, Be Safe' where we learnt all about how to keep ourselves safe near the roads. We learnt that we must wear brightly coloured clothes at night so we can be seen by drivers.
