Poles Apart!

The children in year 2 are completely hooked into their new topic since returning to school last week. We have started our ‘Poles Apart’ curriculum theme by thinking about Arctic regions and the animals that live there. The children have been researching to gather facts about polar bears, penguins and arctic foxes. This week the children used their notes from this research to start planning out a non-chronological report about an arctic animal. We have begun by writing about the animals appearance and explain why they have the physical features that they do.
