Farewell to Arms for Year 4…

At last the conflict is over and the gas masks can be worn for the last time before being taken home. Y4 have enjoyed their topic and learnt a great deal about life during World War II.

The children have had an exciting visit to Eden Camp, baked rock buns from a 1940s recipe and found out lots about the beginning of World War 2. They have done some really good work on evacuation and the Home Front, and are now looking forward to finding out more about rationing, and hoping to be able to Dig for Victory in our own vegetable garden.
