Y6 SATs Week Beginning 9th May 2011

Well, the time is nearly upon us now for our children to take part in their end of Key Stage assessments or SATs as we know them. We wanted to communicate with you to share the timetable for the week and suggest ways that you can support your child during the week.

This week we are giving the children a final boost of both skills and confidence. We are very, very proud of how hard they have worked and they deserve to feel good about themselves. Then, next week every morning we will be providing the whole of Y6 with a free breakfast, where they will be able to have a range of foods. Please make sure that your children are at school for 8.30am so that we can give them their breakfast and they can have time to chat to each other before the tests begin.

It is important that your children feel calm and confident so lots of positive talk to them will help them more than anything else now. They need to be alert and so therefore must get to bed at a decent time so that they have every chance of being as successful as they want and need to be.
Monday-Reading
Tuesday-Writing
Wednesday-Maths
Thursday-Maths
Friday-PARTY TIME

We are hoping that it will be a fun filled and successful week!

Many thanks for your continued support!
