Year One Trip to Filey

On Monday 20th June 2011 Year One went on a trip to Filey.  We had a fantastic day and spent time on the beach building sandcastles, we had a competition as to who could build the best sandcastle which turned into a group effort that everybody added to throughout the day.  We had also has a paddle in the sea which was extremely cold!

Year 1 ‘do like to be beside the seaside…’

This term we are looking at the seaside.

We are comparing Filey to Worsbrough and investigating to discover what differences we can find.

We will also be looking at seaside holidays in the past.

If you have any old photos of holidays at the seaside and are happy to bring them into school, we would be most grateful.
