In the afternoons, Y2 take part in a carousel of creative activities to practise and use skills from every curriculum area. As Geographers, they imagined that they had stepped back in time to ancient Greece and had to write a descriptive recount of what they saw. As Historians, they created 2 posters to advertise the olympics – one advertised the ancient Greek olympics and one advertised London 2012. As Artists, they made gold leaves as part of a head decoration for their Greek play. As Design and Technologists, they created Greek pots out of clay to sell as part of their enterprise. As Authors, they practised their spellings on the iPads and then edited their Medusa stories so that they could write them up in neat for our ‘Fantatsic Writing Wall’. As Actors, they dressed up as Greek Gods and Goddesses and pretended to live thousands of years ago. As Scientists, they researched different types of materials on the internet and made conclusions about what they have learned.
