On Wednesday this week the children in Y4 caught the bus into Barnsley to visit the Central Library.  The Children’s Librarian explained how to become a member of the library.  It is free to join, and you can borrow up to ten books at a time!  She explained how the books are arranged in the library, and the children picked up some useful tips on how to organise their own class library, putting fiction books in alphabetical order according to the author’s surname.  The children also had the chance to browse the library and found lots of fantastic books.  Some children were already members of the library, and now many more want to join!
