Our children love the assemblies and work done with them around ‘learn like a champion’. It is really helping them to work hard and understand what makes someone successful. I have put lots of information on the school Facebook page about the sporting heroes for you to look at. Leading the way currently is Jessica Ennis house; they have won the last two weeks challenges. The first week children were rewarded for their stickability and staying on task, in week two it was all about hitting daily targets and this week we have been working hard on using our memory to recall important learning and information. Please take time to talk to your children about this as they are lifelong skills.

Well done to Mo Farah house for winning the Monday Ping-Pong Ball Challenge. Good luck to all houses for this week’s result shared in the Friday assembly.

School Playground
If the weather improves, contractors will be onsite on Monday and Tuesday next week to resurface the school playground. On those two days all KS2 children must enter school through the main reception area. We will be there to guide them safely to their classrooms.

Our clubs are going really well at present, it is fantastic to see so many children attending and enjoying all the activities on offer. If your child would like to join a club it is not too late. Simply ask at the main school office where you will be given the timetable and a form to fill in to join.

Last year I ran a group to help parents understand the importance of sharing books with very young children. The sessions lasted an hour and the children were included in the activities. I am proposing to run these series of 6 workshops again after the February half term holiday. If you are interested in joining me please print the form fill it in and return the slip on  to the main school office.
