Remarkable Roman Food

This week we have been learning about Roman food. After learning about the different foods the Romans ate, we created our own menu’s by combining some of the foods. Some of the delicious dishes we created were: Flamingo’s tongue smothered in honey and bees, sows udders with a side of rotten fish guts and jellyfish with camels feet.

After that we thought about the foods that the Romans brought to Britain and then we tasted some of them. We tried: radishes, honey, olives, bread, oil, beans and beetroot. We really enjoyed getting to try all of these different foods!
