This week, year 5 held an inquest into the Huskar Pit Disaster of 4th of July 1838. 

It was an awful day, when 26 innocent children lost their lives.  They had been working down the mine in Silkstone.  A day like any other until the rain came and flooded the only way out.  The inquest was to find out if anybody was to blame for this tragedy.
