An mysterious visitor…

This week the children in reception were visited by what we believe could only have been an alien. The children found lots of different clues such as footprints and slime. The children decided the footprints did not belong to a human nor did they belong to a cat or a dog. The children discovered that the slime was sticky, soft, wet and cold.

In our literacy reception are beginning to learn about writing stories. Many children have started to write their stories  about space. Within numeracy the children have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes. Not only have they been naming the different shapes but they have been trying super hard to describe them using mathematical language. Lots of children used 3D shapes to make models of rockets and were able to explain which shapes they had used and why.
