Acceptable Behaviour in School

Dear parents and carers

I have been working at Bank End now for three years and I have got to say I have loved every minute of it.  The growing relationship we have with you as first educators is amazing and all the staff thoroughly enjoyed meeting with you at the recent Parent Consultations.

However, recently we have had a number of complaints about how parents and carers are behaving when picking their children up from school either from class or from clubs.

The complaints have been about a small number of parents/carers either being rude or aggressive in manner/verbally to other parents, members of staff or their own children.  This is simply not in any way or form acceptable, as everybody, children and adults alike, have got the right to feel safe and respected.

When picking up from clubs in the afternoon or evening please do not expect to be let into the entrance to wait. Shelter is available under the canopies on the KS2 playground. We always ensure clubs finish promptly at 4:15 so this is when you need to arrive.

On the reverse of the  letter sent home is our Acceptable Behaviour of Adults on School Premises document. Please make yourself aware of it and speak to a member of the school’s leadership team if you are concerned about any adult/parental behaviour on our premises

Thank you for your continued support with this matter
