Year 3 learn some new skills in the Creative Curriculum

Year 3 have been using clay for a while now so they are ready to start choosing what to make independently and start working on their own.  Before they could do this they needed to have a bank of skills to use.  They learned how to:

Pull (to create different 3D shapes)

Twist (to add detail and different effects)

Roll (to create flat surfaces)

Score (to create a surface where 2 pieces of clay can be attached)

Make slip (a special glue made out of clay)

Blend (so that the finish looks the best that it can be)

Now that they know how to do all of these things, they should be able to make anything that they want! Today they made dinosaur heads and T-Rex claws.  I wonder what they’ll make next?
