Habitats around the world.

Last week the children in Reception learnt about the habitats in our own gardens and what creatures we might find there. A lot of the children were very busy at home making their own model garden habitats (some complete with real life mini-beasts!) A great big thank you and well done for all the hard work that went into these, they look wonderful and we are looking forward to creating a topic display in school for these. To extend their learning on Habitats this week the children learnt about other very different habitats around the world and how these compare to each other. The children used their creative skills to construct their own small world habitats of a rainforest, dessert or Arctic area. These were then used to influence our writing this week.
